Rail Nation Birthday Event: celebrate, play and earn rewards
It’s time to celebrate. The Birthday Event is coming to Rail Nation and brings a festive take on a familiar seasonal event to the game. The event is a limited-time celebration and a newly designed version of the Winter Event. The core mechanics remain the same, while visuals and rewards are fully themed around the anniversary.
If you already know the Winter Event, you will feel right at home. You can find a detailed explanation of the core mechanics in our Winter Event article, as the gameplay itself remains unchanged.
Event duration
The Birthday Event is active from February 23 to March 3, 2026. It starts and ends at 14:00 (UTC+1).
No registration is required and there are no participation limits.
How the Birthday Event works
At the heart of the event are birthday coins. You need them to purchase the five event resources or one of the three packages. You earn birthday coins by completing quests, collecting bonuses from the birthday market in your station, revealing tiles on the event board, scratching bonus tickets, watching videos and through random in-game actions.
Using event resources, you can unlock tiles on a replayable event board. Each revealed tile contains a small reward. By working your way from left to right, you can reach a bonus ticket with valuable prizes such as diamonds and other rewards. Once the event board is completed, it resets, allowing you to play through it multiple times during the event.
Birthday visuals and special rewards
While the mechanics mirror the Winter Event, the Birthday Event introduces several visible changes. You can look forward to festive birthday-themed visuals, a special birthday market that grants additional bonuses and videos, and an exclusive bonus engine as the main event reward.
With a bit of luck, you can win the Layercake Liner, which remains active for the rest of the round once unlocked. In addition, watching videos in the event building at your station allows you to earn special avatar items, adding even more birthday flair to the event.
The festive atmosphere is further enhanced by event resources such as unicorns, cupcakes and partyhorns.
Also available on Destination Africa
As part of the anniversary celebrations, the Birthday Event will also be active on the Destination Africa Birthday Event gameworlds, giving you the chance to participate and collect birthday coins there as well.
