Scenario overview

Destination Africa is set on an authentic and detailed map of the African continent featuring 25 cities. All cities are located along the coasts and form the economic centers of the game. The continent is connected through special tracks running from north to south and from west to east, linking the entire map. This unique structure requires forward planning and close cooperation within associations. Long distances, well planned routes and coordinated strategies determine long term success.

🌍 One continent, many goods

A total of 48 goods can be transported in Destination Africa, including 18 African goods such as sugarcane, tea leaves and coffee beans. These expand familiar production chains and add additional strategic options.

The combination of long distances, special goods distribution and limited city locations makes efficient route planning a key factor for success.

🚄 Special tracks across Africa

One of the defining features of the scenario is the special tracks. Two unlockable routes connect the African continent from north to south and from west to east. These powerful connections must be built cooperatively and open strategic transport routes across the entire map.

Whether connecting Cape Town and Cairo or El Aaiún and Mogadishu, these tracks can strongly influence the course of the game and reward coordinated team play.

🐘 African atmosphere and special content

Instead of classic trainspotters, you can collect 25 indigenous African animal species, including lions, elephants, giraffes and zebras. In addition, nine historical workers are available to support associations on the path to success.

You can also unlock nine exclusive career achievements and customize your avatars with two African inspired clothing sets.

🚂 Two exclusive bonus engines

The Birthday Edition introduces two special bonus engines. Blue Star is a luxurious passenger engine inspired by South Africa’s famous Blue Train. Le Train is based on the legendary iron ore freight train from Mauritania. Both bonus engines are available in special packages and accompany you through all eras.

The bundles also include skins, which are available as part of these packages.

🎉 Birthday event

As part of Rail Nation’s 13th anniversary, a seasonal birthday event will take place alongside Destination Africa Birthday Edition. You can look forward to daily random birthday presents and festive decorative elements celebrating 13 years of Rail Nation directly in the game.

📅 Server launch and registration

The first Destination Africa Birthday Edition game worlds start on February 4, with additional worlds launching through February 7.

A total of six servers will be available across the DE, INT and RU regions, each offered in 1x and 2x speed variants. Each server will close at 3,500 registered players.
