🚂 What is “Rail Nation: Clash!”?
Clash! is an exciting mini-game in the Rail Nation lobby, launching alongside the Masters tournament. In each match, you’ll compete against two opponents on a symmetrical track map, with each player starting with their locomotive in a separate corner. You can earn unique career achievements and prizes! ✨
🗺️ Where to find Clash!
You can access Clash! through the Rail Nation lobby once the game has become active and you’ve logged into your game account. It will appear under “Your game worlds”.
🛤️ How to play
- Starting a game: When you begin a game, the system will randomly pair you with two opponents, who will be different for each game you play. The game can begin only once all players have been loaded into the map.
- Move your locomotive: Click on the next waypoint on the map to choose the direction of your locomotive. Your locomotive moves faster when it runs over multiple tracks without stopping. The route you’ve travelled is highlighted in your locomotive’s colour on the map. The horizontal tracks are longer than the diagonal ones.
- Maintain high speed: To maintain your locomotive’s speed and gain an advantage, you can select up to two waypoints ahead. This means that while your locomotive is on its way to a waypoint, you can already click on the next one, allowing your locomotive to move directly to the next destination without slowing down.
- Changing your route: If your locomotive hasn’t yet started on a selected track, you can change its direction by clicking on a different neighbouring waypoint.
- Stopping: If you don’t select a new waypoint, your locomotive will stop at the current one.
📦 Collecting goods
- Goods icons: Goods icons appear randomly on the waypoints. To collect them, simply move to or pass through the waypoint with the icon.
- Scoring points: Each collected goods icon earns you one point. The first player to collect 10 points wins the match.
⚠️ Avoiding collisions
- Opponent’s track: If you cross a track that another player has already coloured, their locomotive will reset to the starting point.
- Your track: If you cross your own track or if an opponent crosses it, your locomotive will be reset.
- Head-on collisions: If two locomotives collide head-on, both players will be reset to the starting point.
🏁 Game modes
- Training rounds: Play as many training rounds as you want. They’re great for practice but won’t affect your ranking.
- Ranked rounds: You can play up to 5 ranked rounds per day. Only ranked rounds count towards your Clash! ranking. The day resets at 00:00 UTC.
